To the west of the Dombostanya railway station lies the church ruins of the Árpádian village of Parlag. The vandals scribbled the wall of the church ruin, removed it, carried away stones, stretched out the top of the crypt, which is full of debris. First the stairs of the lookout tower and then the whole building disappeared. The road leading there is not marked either, although it is relatively easy to find with the help of some gps. (Be careful at the railroad tracks, and it doesn't hurt to pay attention to the dogs too!) You could say that the ruins of the church lie on Parpalon. The area has been part of the nature reserve since 1993. Its most important natural value was the ground squirrel. However, the once large but highly isolated population collapsed in the late 2000s and is certainly extinct to this day.

At the end of the road there, the residents don’t really handle the sight of tourists well.

I’m not religious, but I’ve always admired such structures, whether they’re still in use today or ruined like this one. I wasn’t looking for it purposefully, I just came across it while cycling. My pictures are older, the wooden tower part no longer belongs to the ruin. Sad fate. At that time, the place could bring peace and spiritual nourishment to a lot of people.

We can visit the site of an old church here, a few rows of stones or bricks can be seen from the original. Some modern memorabilia was added to it, but it was also quite dilapidated. The approach requires walking, and many of the eyes and the nameplate have also been damaged. The question arises as to why someone goes out here to "destroy"; but it may be that only young people in the area make room for their ambitions here.
