Annak idején ez volt a térség oktatási és gazdasági központja, innen irányították a mezőgazdaságot. A világháború után iskolává alakították, majd rendszerváltáskor magánkézbe került. A kastély zárva, parkja ápolt, az épület egyre lepusztultabb. * Temető domb, Templom * A piaristák nyomait a temetőkertben álló 1700-as évekből való sírkövek is őrzik. A tempom másik érdekessége a kapu fölött elhelyezett győri püspökség címere. Mernye ugyanis Veszprémhez tartozott, ám Mária Terézia uralkodása alatt átkerült a győriek irányítása alá. Templomhoz a 1790-ben építették hozzá a Szent Vendel Kápolnát. Az épület mögötti dombon pedig 1824-ben emelték a Kálvária keresztjeit. After the Second World War, it was transformed into a school and then became privately owned when the regime changed. The castle is closed, the park is well maintained and the building is more and more dilapidated. * Cemetery Hill, Church * Traces of Piaristas are preserved in tombstones dating from the 1700s in the cemetery garden. Another interesting feature of the temple is the coat of arms of the bishopric of Győr located above the gate. Mernye belonged to Veszprém, but during the reign of Maria Theresa she was placed under the control of Győr. The St. Brother's Chapel was added to the church in 1790. And on the hill behind the building in 1824 the crosses of the Calvary were erected.
