A Simonyi Károly Elektrotechnika Versenyen az ország számos iskolája és pár határon túli intézmény is rendszeresen indítja diákjait. A verseny gyakorlatilag az ÁSZÉV és az OSZTV előszobájának számít, és tanulóink hagyományosan jól szoktak szerepelni rajta. Az idén 30. alkalommal megrendezett versenyen csapatban és egyéniben is második lett a Puskás.

De ez az agyament új elnevezés valami katasztrófa, az alapítók és az iskola hírnevéért sokat tévő egykori tanárok szerintem forognak a sírjaikban. Drága fizikatanárunk, aki egy kibírhatatlan vénember, már több témazáró dolgozatot iratott velünk, úgy, hogy nem jelentette be, vagy egy diáknak jelezte említett tz írása előtti napon. Szakmai tanárok nagy része alig ért ahhoz, amit csinál. Egy tanárunk minden apró probléma miatt az igazgatóhoz akar vinni minket, egyik diáktársunknak megtiltotta az orvos által előírt folyamatos kezelést, házirendre hivatkozva. Néhány tantárgy esetében az az érzés, így utólag visszatekintve, mintha simán OE-KVK-s tananyagot adnának le. A komplex számok korai bevezetése is bevált. Viszont az analízisre felkészítés mintha nem is létezett volna, leetett mindent nulláról újra tanulni, a történelem oktatás úgy zajlott, hogy a tanár egy grafikont nem volt képes értelmezni és mikor jelzi a diák, hogy az ott naggggyon nem az az adat, amiről a tanár beszél akkor jön a dráma és ofc, hogy a diák a hülye. Az irodalomoktatás viszont pozitív csalódás, hozzájárul az ember érzelmi intelligenciájának fejlesztéséhez.
