Ligeti Miklós az 1890-es évek elején készítette el a Rákászfiú tanulmányszobrát. A kész szobor csak 1926-ban lett felállítva a Döbrentei téren. 1945-ig állt itt, majd lebontották és csak 1954-ben helyezték át ide.
