★ ★ ★ ★ ★ . A REFORM500 névre keresztelt alkotás 2017 májusában valósult meg a budapesti Kálvin téren.
A reformáció legnagyszerűbb hatása a magyar kultúra alakulására – elsősorban Sylvester János Újszövetség-fordítása, majd a Károli-biblia nyomán – a magyar nyelv, később a magyar irodalmi nyelv térnyerése, megtermékenyítése volt. E szerteágazó hatástörténet illusztrálására a szerzők azt a megoldást választották, hogy a Kálvin tér burkolóelemeiből 95 darabot egyedi gyártású, finombeton térkőre cseréltek. A betonelemek felületére minden esetben két idézet került: a legnagyobb reformátoroktól (Luthertől, Kálvintól, Zwinglitől, Melanchthontól és társaiktól) származó egy-egy gondolat, valamint egy magyar, a lehető legtágabban értelmezett reformáció-vonatkozású szövegrészlet – utóbbiak esetében a koncepció úgy nyúlt vissza a reformáció korabeli magyarországi szerzőihez, hogy párhuzamosan a 19., 20. század vagy a ma élő kortársaknak is teret engedett.
. The work, named REFORM500, took place in May 2017 at Kálvin tér in Budapest.
The greatest influence of the Reformation on the development of Hungarian culture - firstly the translation of the New Testament by János Sylvester and then the Karelian Bible - was the spreading and fertilization of the Hungarian language and later the Hungarian literary language. To illustrate this diverse history of impact, the authors chose to replace 95 of Kalvin Square's tiles with custom-made fine concrete pavers. In each case, two quotations were placed on the surface of the concrete elements: a thought from the greatest reformers (Luther, Calvin, Zwingl, Melanchthon and their associates), and a Hungarian version of the Reformation-related passage in the broadest sense. Reformation of contemporary Hungarian composer that left room on the 19th parallel, now living in the 20th century and contemporaries as well.
