★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Valóban szép a templom. De nem a kövek miatt érdemes ide jönni, hanem azért, mert az ide járó közösségnek fontos Isten trónja.
The church is really beautiful. But it is not worth coming here because of the stones, but because the throne of God is important to the community that comes here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Az Árpád-korban épült, román stílusú templom bejáratának kialakítását a Franciaországban, Chatresben kialakult oszlopsoros kaputípus első magyarországi megjelenésének tekintik. Egyhajós, egyenes szentély záródással építették, majd később bővítették. Jellegzetessége a déli oldalon található bélletes bejárata. A bejárat fölötti timpanonban eredetileg „Krisztus az angyalok között” témájú relief volt, melyre ma már csak a megmaradt maradványokból következtethetünk.
Mivel ma is templomként funkcionál, így mind az épület, mind a környezete rendezett, gondozott.
The design of the entrance to the Romanesque church built in the Árpádian period is considered to be the first appearance in Hungary of the colonnade gate type developed in Chatres, France. It was built with a single-nave, straight sanctuary closure and was later expanded. It is characterized by an insular entrance on the south side. The tympanum above the entrance was originally a relief with the theme “Christ among the angels,” which can now only be deduced from the remaining remains.
As it still functions as a church today, both the building and its surroundings are tidy and well-kept.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tudtommal nem a déli kapu a templom legrégebbi eleme, de feltétlenül ez a leginkább figyelmre méltó részlet. A romjaiból többször újjéépített templom kapuja a francia katedrális-gótika jellegzetes - szobordíszes - kapubéletes megoldásának ritka és korai hazai példája.
As far as I know, the southern gate is not the oldest part of the temple, but it is definitely the most remarkable detail. The gate of the church, which has been rebuilt several times from its ruins, is a rare and early domestic example of a typical - statue-like - gothic solution of French Gothic cathedrals.
