A nagy sietségben letértem az útról (nem volt lehetőségem a térképet is figyelni, mert fél szemmel az engem üldöző kutyákat kellett, hogy figyeljem). Egyszer csak előttem állt ez a kilátó. Gyorsan felszaladtam rá, de szerencsére az ebeket ekkorra már rég lehagytam. Nem is értem, hogyan gondolhattam akkor, hogy a kilátóba nem tudnak esetleg utánam jönni... de könnyebb ide feljutni, mint fára mászni. Nekem ez az emlékem ehhez a kilátóhoz. A kilátásra nem emlékszem, csak arra, hogy soha életemben nem másztam még fel ilyen gyorsan egy kilátóra. I got off the road in a big hurry (I didn’t have the opportunity to watch the map either, because I had to watch the dogs chasing me with half an eye). Suddenly this lookout was in front of me. I ran up to it quickly, but luckily I had left the dogs for a long time by then. I don't even understand how I thought then that they might not be able to come after me to the lookout ... but it's easier to get up here than to climb a tree. For me, this is my memory for this lookout. I don’t remember the view, just that I’ve never climbed a lookout point so fast in my life.

Megközelítése Vámospércsről Nyírmártonfalva felé haladva a 4905 ös úton balra, a szennyvíztelep előtti lejárón a kéktúra útvonalon lehetséges. Erre a földútra lekanyarodva kb. 2 km haladás után jobb oldalt egy mellékútra letérve pillanthatjuk meg a Répalaposi–kilátót. Szerkezete igényesen kivitelezett, stabil vázú, nem halálfélelemmel kezdi megmászni a látogató. A kilátó egy dombtetőn található, amelynek a tetejéről lenézve jól látható a jellegzetes dél-nyírségi táj, akácerdőkkel, nyárfásokkal, szép panoráma még nem nőtték túl a környékbeli fák.
