Európában ezen kívül csak Törökországban, Kappadókiában tartanak számon hasonlót és a világon is alig több mint hat helyen. A riolittufa egy hektárnyi területen látható, felszíne növényzet nélküli, mélyen barázdált. A miocén vulkánosság során, feltehetően mintegy 20 millió évvel ezelőtt, a Mátra vulkáni kitöréseinek nyomán keletkezett. A fehér, könnyen málló talajfelszínt a víz eróziós munkája formálta, benne bonyolultan ágazó árkokat szabdalt, közöttük kúpokat, gerinceket hagyva. A falu végén található Büfé-nél érdemes leparkolni autóval. Onnan könnyű sétával megközelíthető. A tájékozodást a táblák és a piros turistajelzések segítik. A szurdokba is le lehet menni, egy teljesen más világba csöppenünk, majd a kiszáradt patak medrében sétálva juthatunk vissza a turista útra. In Europe, moreover, it is counted only in Turkey and Cappadocia, and in just over six places in the world. Rhyolite tuff is visible on an area of one hectare, its surface is vegetation-free and deeply furrowed. It was formed during the Miocene volcanism, presumably about 20 million years ago, following the volcanic eruptions of the Mátra. The white, easily decaying soil surface was shaped by the erosion work of the water, cutting intricately branched ditches into it, leaving cones and ridges between them. At the Buffet at the end of the village, you should park your car. It is within easy walking distance. Information is provided by signs and red tourist signs. You can also go down the gorge, drop into a completely different world, and then walk back along the bed of the dried-up stream to get back on the tourist route.

Európában ezen kívül csak Törökországban, Kappadókiában tartanak számon hasonlót, így emiatt néhol "Magyar Kappódókiaként" említik. A vulkánból kilövellt és a földre visszazuhanó anyag szinte lavinaként zúdult végig a terepen és több tíz méter vastagságú tufaleplet hozott létre. A föld további fejlődése átalakulása során a felszínre került laza szerkezetű riolittufát eróziós árkok szabdalták fel. C	Csilla Barta on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eddigi legszuperebb hely. Gyönyörű természeti képződmény. Mi Kazár felől a parkoló és pihenőhelyről indultunk a piros kereszt jelzésen. A parkolás ingyenes, van mellette egy büfé. Minden szépen és jól ki van tablazva. Kb 2 km az út. Picit emelkedőn kell menni és egy ideig a napon. Amikor felertünk a látvány az csoda volt. Egy ideig fent sétálhatunk míg megtaláltuk a lejáratot. Nem volt egyszerű lemenni de megérte. Lent a magas riolittufak között mentünk, keskeny helyeken, majd visszamentünk, van ahol négykézláb , a fenti részhez. Kappadokia, a Holdbeli táj. Európában, Törökországon kívül csak itt nálunk Nógrád megyében van még, Kazáron. Greatest place so far. Beautiful natural formation. We started from the parking lot and rest area on the red cross sign from Khazar. Parking is free, and there is a snack bar next to it. Everything is nicely and well tabulated. Approx 2 km from the road. You have to go up a bit and for a while in the sun. When we came up with the sight it was a miracle. We can walk upstairs for a while until we find the expiration. It wasn't easy to go down but it was worth it. Downstairs we went between the high rhyolite tuffs, in narrow places, and then we went back, there are where on all fours, to the part above. Cappadocia, the lunar landscape. In Europe, besides Turkey, it is only here in Nógrád County, Kazar.
