★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mooi, beetje weggestopt achter de tram. Jammer van het afval rondom. De moeite om even te stoppen.
Nice, bit tucked away behind the tram. Shame about the trash around. Worth stopping for a while.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unlike the other (military) amphitheatre approximately 5 to 10 minute drive south of here in Flórián tér, this site is open to the public as of my visit today. A metal gate was left unlocked so that it was possible to enter into the main arena and get a good idea of the size and structure of the ruin. While most of it was in a state of disrepair, the northern portion had been reconstructed partially.
I would suggest it requires no more than a five minute visit to read the Hungarian language information board outside, and enter for a few photos. It's accessible also on foot by walking north from the Aquincum ruins and it's across the street at the Zsofia utca intersection. A small dirt lot next to the amphitheatre is available for parking, it can be accessible through an area in the crosswalk and driving along the sidewalk next to the bus stop.
