Mégis csoda ebben az aprócska medencében, melyben nincs víz... csak fű.... és szél. Ennek lehettünk ma a részesei egy kicsit, mert vándor lelkünk már a habok tetején szállt tovább... Ahogy a Káli-medence több pontján is, itt is a pannon homok kovás cementálódásának köszönhetően alakult ki ez a különleges formakincs. Itt azonban nem találunk olyan hatalmas sziklákat, mint Szentbékálla mellett, mert az erózió itt még nem tudta a kövek közül elhordani a homokot, amit a gyeptakaró és a borókák, galagonyák is nehezítenek. A kőtenger látványos része rögtön a falutáblánál kezdődik, de a kőtenger a faluba is benyúlik. One of the biggest sights of Salföld is the stone sea on the outskirts of the village. As in several parts of the Káli Basin, this special treasure of form developed due to the siliceous cementation of the Pannonian sand. Here, however, we do not find such huge rocks as next to Szentbékálla, because the erosion here has not yet been able to remove the sand from the stones, which is also hampered by the turf and the junipers and hawthorns. The spectacular part of the stone sea starts right at the village sign, but the stone sea also extends into the village.

Tele van az ország számtalan, valóban érdekes geológiai képződménnyel, amit egyenlőre nem jelölnek semmivel. Lehet, addig tudjuk őket csodálni, amíg nincsenek köztudatban. Viszont ez a "kőtenger" számomra semmi érdekeset nem nyújtott, hiába került fel a térképre. With so much force, we could smash a sign on every pile of stones to be a "geological attraction." The country is full of countless, really interesting geological formations that are not marked with anything yet. Maybe we can admire them as long as they are not in the public consciousness. However, this "sea of stones" did not provide me with anything interesting, despite being put on the map.
