Shadow Bar - Shadow Bar

We had an awful experience at shadow bar.four of us from Ireland 2 couples went to Budapest for a weekend and had an amazing time until we ventured into this bar.it seems like tourists have no say in this place on 2 occasions we were asked to leave our tables that they were pre booked by “Locals”,we arrived in at around 8:30pm and the bar wasn’t too busy so we sat at a table and had maybe 3 drinks each then around 9pm as it got busy were were told to leave the table as it’s booked for a party,so we kindly moved and taught nothing of it, so we stood for maybe 35min then another table came free so we sat down and we were there for maybe 40 min when we were asked to move again now at this stage the bar was pretty busy and there was no tables available so we complained to the staff member telling him that this is our 2nd time to be moved and there was no reservation sign on the tables and this was not good enough, now at this stage the 5/6 lads who said they booked the table were all standing around us and the girls we were with felt quit intimidated,so in the end we just finished our drinks and left.worst bar in Budapest by a mile.other than this place it’s a lovely city and we really enjoyed it.

We had a terrible experience here. There is a long list of tables as you enter on the left. There was a small paper note on one of the far tables saying it was reserved from 10 pm. We were sitting at the other end as it was clear these were all separate tables. We were sitting there for over an hour and then around 10.40, we were told to move because the table was reserved. We protested that there was no sign to suggest this but we were then told the row of separate tables are considered one whole table. Total joke! When we refused to move, the staff became verbally abusive and threatened violence upon us. The bar was full so there was no other place for us to go so they were effectively kicking us out. While the location to the markets is good, I would advise to avoid this bar at all costs

The place was nice, casual atmosphere, with good music, a big variety of drinks and shoots but slow service. Two stars because they charged us the double money as "service tip". They changed the prices of beers, drinks, shoots and snacks, as an "included service tip". I was shocked when they told this to me and made me laugh. I just gave them the money an left the place, that was all. service tips with slow service and without a waiter/waitress, it was almost self service. What kind of service tip was this? Unacceptable.

Nice little basement bar with good deals, usually closes later than the bars nearby.

Cheap prices and good drinks celebrate your life

Nice Bar, not too hot and nice "Atmosphäre". Ir was really a pleasure to be there. There are nice people and nice bar keepers!
