★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hungary has been updating it's railroads for a good decade now. This includes a lot of railway stations. Being that the Balaton is a huge tourist attraction, especially this area, the station has been modernized. Instead of walking over the tracks to leave the multi tracked station, you now have to take the stairs from each platform. They also have tv screens with the schedule of the trains, along with the buses and ferries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I haven't been inside the train station, but the building is beautiful from the outside, especially if you consider, that this is only a train station. There are parking places outside, and there is a park just in front if it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit and buy a train ticket to Budapest... coffee shops a must...would love yo stay a while...be sure to catch the ferry over.
