Great for beginners that are trying to learn, from adults to young children. There are two bars on the main slope as you enter, slight going down. Remember to come nice and early as it does tend to get busy during the day!

This place made my first skiing experience memorable. Great hütte with good food and beverages. Ideal for beginners.

One of the shortest slopes I have ever been to. The queue for the lift was overcrowded but I’m not going to complain. But the ride itself was just terrible. I would listen to a song that started in the middle of the lift and I was in the back of the lift line before the song even finished. Literally the shortest slope I have ever been to. I’m not a beginner boarder, but definitely not an expert. The lift price is cheap, but compare to the ride itself, absolutely not worth it.

The snow was amazing, but due to the wind they closed the 2 bigger lifts, thanks to this everyone crowded to one of the small lifts, so we decided to leave. When trying to refund the ticket (since we spent less than half a day there), they refused the refund due to the fact that we didn't have the receipt, but they happily took the cards back. This is completely illogical, and the attitude of the cashier was also unacceptable.

I am a total beginner and for me this resort was excellent to start pick up some skiing experiences. I think this is a well managed place with quick access to gates and ski lifts. Comfortable and enjoyable ski resort with nice environment.

It’s a good place to do ski/snowboard because they have various slopes here that you can enjoy yourself pretty well, but personally I think it’s not a beginner-friendly place because they don’t really have an appropriate route for beginners to practice the basic skills. As for the prices, Hungary is not a popular destination for skiing/snowboarding so I would say that it’s reasonable for people here to pay a bit more than in other hot spots such as Zakopane, Poland. The biggest problem for me is the lack of equipment. There will be a shortage of equipment on weekends.

I have been in the ski-park before, some 3 years ago. From that time I had some mixed memories; nice, beautiful place, with nice tracks, yet, my skis suffered a little from stones scattered over the surface of the snow. Not this year. ? The weather was a perfect one to go out and have some skiing. The slopes around were already showing the coming spring, yet the ski-park had a massive, well-put bed of ice, with really nice artificial snow on the top. It really draws praise to the guys making it possible, the snow machines most probably had been working all night before, so that the fans of winter could get a really nice opportunity to ski all day long. Literally. Started in the morning, and finishing with the last lift up having a sandwich-break only, the tracks were in a really good shape all day long. In the beginning of March! Very well done! They say it will be open till the end of March. Maybe will go back. ? Try it, you will like the place. There is a blue, a red and a black slope, really good for a day of skiing. Very friendly and competent staff! So, go, Matraszentistvan! ?

Quite good, given that there are no many place to compare it to around. But at least it was worth the drive to there. Just need a bit more organization and cordination between those selling the tickets and those selling the skiing equipments. You buy a ticket since that's the first stop at the entrance, when you get to the skiing equipment container. After waiting on the queue for at least 30 minutes only to find out that there are no skies or even snow boards. But of course they would tell you to wait a little bit longer depending on the time of the day, since they would expect one or two pairs to be returned in the afternoon. Or at 4 pm since that's when most people will call it a quite. But all in all the experience at the slopes over writes the former one anyway.
