Felállításának körülményei igen hányattatottak. Melocco Miklós 1989-ben kapott felkérést a szobor elkészítésére, melynek előzménye, hogy 1988-ban közadakozási akció indult a szobor elkészítésére.
The memorial made of stone type of "Süttő" was inaugurated on 23 October 1994 in the Városház tér (City Hall Square). The statue illustrates the old, "broken" Széchenyi.
The circumstances of the constuction were very vague. Miklós Melocco received a request in 1989 to be built this statue, which was preceded by the fact in 1988 a public subscriptions were launched to make the statue.
