Építtetője és első lelkésze, Németh Gyula 83 évesen halt meg. A templomot 1928. december 16-án Kapi Béla szentelte fel. Orgonája a 19. századból származik, Marschall József, Marcz Ádám műhelye alkotta meg 1800 körül, és a bonyháditemplomból került Szekszárdra az orgona 130 éves korában. 1800 körül készített orgonát 1989-91-ben restaurálta az Aquincum Orgonaépítő Kft. Több hangversenyen is használták. A restaurálás során Theisz Lőrinc György, Pászner Jenő vett részt a munkálatokban.

It was built in 1928 in neoclassical style.
Its builder and first pastor, Gyula Németh, died at the age of 83. The church was consecrated on December 16, 1928 by Béla Kapi. Its organ dates from the 19th century, it was created by József Marschall, the workshop of Ádám Marcz around 1800, and the organ came to Szekszárd from the Bonyhád church at the age of 130. The organ, made around 1800, was restored in 1989-91 by Aquincum Orgonaépítő Kft. It was used in several concerts. During the restoration, György Theisz Lőrinc and Jenő Pászner took part in the works.
