Ekkor Guzslai László által festett oltárkép került a kápolnába, mely egy 120x80 cm nagyságú vászonkép volt, Szent Annát és Szűz Máriát ábrázolta. A tanácsrendszer idején máig nem ismert úton a kápolna ismét magántulajdonba került, az új tulajdonos (Lukács) ultimátumot adott az egyháznak, vagy fizet 5.000 Ft vagy ha nem akkor lebontatja a kápolnát. Klempa Sándor (premontrei) püspök megvásárolta a kápolnát, de nem az egyház hanem a saját nevére, mert az egyház akkoriban nem szerezhetett vagyont. 1960-as években Zalaszentgrót új plébánosa Bizderi János lett, aki minden hónap 3. vasárnapján szent misét celebrált a kápolnában egészen a 1990-es évekig. A rendszerváltást követően az elnéptelenedés (korábban sokan laktak a hegyekben) miatt ez a hagyomány megkopott, majd eltűnt. A kápolnában többször betörtek és mára minden mozdítható és értékes kegytárgyat elloptak belőle ( oltárkép, szobrok, gyertyatartók), valamint a a kb. 15 kg-os harangot is eltulajdonították. 1990-ben külső tatarozást, 1995-ben belső tatarozást végeztek. 2010 óta az Anna napi búcsú alkalmával ( július 26.) újraéledni látszik- az egyházközség Anna napi zarándoklatot szervez, amelynek keretében a tekenyei templomtól indulva a hívek a kápolnához zarándokolnak, ahol a plébános szabadtéri misét celebrál, azt követően helyi borok és pogácsák melletti beszélgetések idézik fel a régi búcsúk történetét.
