★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reményi Magdolna kápolnaépítés céljára 1987-ben ajándékozott egy telket az egyház számára. Az új templomot 1991. július 19-én szentelték fel. Dr. Keresztes Szilárd megyéspüspök 1992-ben alapította meg a Demecseri Görögkatolikus Egyházközséget, melynek híveit korábban a nyírtassi lelkész látta el. Ikonosztázának állványzatát Gergely József készítette 1997-ben, képeit Janka Ferenc festette. A harangtornyot 2007-ben Telepóczki Miklós tervei szerint építették fel. A közösség a helyben lakó lelkész számára parókiaépületet épített. A parókiához tartozik Gégény, Székely és Kék, az utóbbi településen 1995-re saját templom is épült Urunk színeváltozása tiszteletére, Telepóczki Miklós tervei szerint, amelyet 2007-ben bővíteni kellett.
Magdolna Reményi donated a plot to the church in 1987 for chapel construction. The new church was consecrated on July 19, 1991. Dr. Szilárd Keresztes County Bishop founded the Greek Catholic Parish of Demecser in 1992, whose support was previously carried out by the priest of Nyírtassi. The sculpture of iconostasis was created by József Gergely in 1997, painted by Ferenc Janka. The bell tower was built in 2007 according to the plans of Miklós Telepóczki. The community built a parish building for the local pastor. Gégény, Székely and Blue belong to the parish, in 1995 the church was built in honor of the Transfiguration of our Lord, according to the plans of Miklós Telepóczki, which was to be expanded in 2007.
