A Püspöki palotától délkeletre terül el a Népkert, amely annakidején a palota díszkertje volt.
Itt áll Oláh Sándor Szent László királyt ábrázoló egészalakos szobra. A műalkotást 1990-ben a Honvédelmi Minisztérium és a Hadtörténeti Múzeum ajándékozta Sümeg városának.
Érdekesség, hogy 1606-tól 50 éven keresztül a sümegi ferences templomban őrizték a török elől megmentett Szent László-hermát.
 Sümeg, Folk Garden: Statue of King Saint Ladislaus
To the southeast of the Bishop's Palace is the People's Garden, which at that time was the palace's ornamental garden.
Here stands the statue of Alexander Oláh, depicting King Saint Ladislaus. The artwork was donated to the city of Sümeg in 1990 by the Ministry of Defense and the Museum of Military History.
It is interesting that from 1606 for 50 years the Saint Ladislas Hermes, who had been rescued from the Turks, were preserved in the Franciscan church of Sümeg.

The statue, inaugurated in 1938, commemorates the fact that the hermitage of St. Ladislaus was preserved in the Franciscan church in Sümeg for half a century from 1606.
