Unfortunately it was not open, I would look inside as well. Nice, tidy, well-groomed environment, the value of the congregation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A templom 1220 körül épült román stílusban, Szent Mihály főangyal tiszteletére szentelték fel. A 13. század végén szentélyét átalakították. A török időkben elpusztult, 1750 körül állították helyre, ekkor szentélyét újból, barokk stílusban átépítették, megnagyobbították. Sekrestyéje a 19. században épült. 1923-ban a templomot javították és átalakították, 1966-1970 közötti helyreállítása után 2001-ben újra restaurálták, ekkor nyerte el ma látható formáját.
The church was built around 1220 in Romanesque style, in honor of Archangel St. Michael. At the end of the 13th century, its sanctuary was remodeled. It was destroyed in Turkish times, it was restored around 1750, when its sanctuary was rebuilt and enlarged in Baroque style. Its sacristy was built in the 19th century. The church was repaired and remodeled in 1923, and after its restoration from 1966-1970, it was restored again in 2001, when it gained its present shape.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Az egységes, jellegzetes román épülettömeget a szentély gótikus bővítése sem bontotta meg. Az összkép mellett az állatalakos oszlopfők és a nyugati toronyalj Agnus Dei faragványa - illetve a kapu kőkerete is - szép emlék. Véleményem szerint országosan is kiemelt érték - ismertsége ezt sajnos nem tükrözi.
The Gothic extension of the sanctuary did not disrupt the uniform, characteristic Romanian building mass. In addition to the overall picture, the carvings of the animal-headed columns and Agnus Dei of the western tower-bottom, as well as the stone frame of the gate, are beautiful memorials. In my opinion, this is a national value - unfortunately its reputation does not reflect this.
