An evangelical church, with the entrance through a block of flats. The church is located in the courtyard, the facade being only the gate (closed as seen).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bývalý kostol slovenskej evanjelickej cirkvi v Budapešti. Bohužiaľ, dnes už pôvodnému účelu neslúži a zvnútra bol dosť necitlivo a neúctivo prestavaný. Napriek tomu ide stále o významnú a zaujímavú, ale trochu zabudnutú pamiatku na kedysi početnú a významnú slovenskú komunitu v Budapešti.
Former church of the Slovak Evangelical Church in Budapest. Unfortunately, today it no longer serves its original purpose and has been rebuilt quite insensitively and disrespectfully from within. Nevertheless, it is still an important and interesting, but a bit forgotten monument to the once numerous and important Slovak community in Budapest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nagyon szép templom, és nagyon kedves egyházközösség. Sajnos romos állapota a templomnak. Viszont a Tisztelendő Asszony megtesz mindent, hogy újra régi dicsében pompázzon. Köszönöm a lehetőséget, hogy láthattam.
Very nice church and very nice parish. Unfortunately, the church is in ruins. The Reverend Woman, on the other hand, will do her best to rejoice in her old glory again. Thanks for the opportunity to see me.

Rákóczi út 57. szám alatti, úgynevezett Luther-házzal szó szerint körbeépített egykori szlovák XIX. századi evangélikus templom.
Az iskola épületben tanult Petőfi Sándor, a templomban Mikszáth Kálmán tartotta esküvőjét.
A háború után magánkézbe került, azóta romlik az állapota. Ma háromszintes konditeremnek ad otthont.
Belülről nem látszik templomnak, kívülről lehet csak megnézni.
Akit érdekel a Luther utcáról be tud jutni, ha megkér egy ott lakót, hogy engedje be.
A lakók szivessen beengedik a kiváncsiskodókat.
Az épület megérdemelné a régi állapotába való visszaállítását.

Rákóczi út 57, literally surrounded by the so-called Luther House, the former Slovak XIX. century Lutheran church.
Sándor Petőfi studied in the school building, Kálmán Mikszáth held his wedding in the church.
He fell into private hands after the war, and his condition has been deteriorating ever since. Today it is home to a three-level gym.
It doesn't look like a church from the inside, you can only see it from the outside.
Anyone interested can get in from Luther Street by asking a resident there to let them in.
Residents are kindly allowed to let in the curious.
The building would deserve to be restored to its old condition.
