★ ★ ★ ★ ★ "Sok oka lehet egy emlékmű áthelyezésének, de a komáromi Tengerészeti-emlékmű áthelyezése telitalálat. Ugyan izgalmakat válthatott ki, amikor megjelent a hír, hogy "lebontják-áthelyezik", de az új hely telitalálat.
Nagyon kevés jobb helyet lehet találni egy világítótoronynak Magyarországon, mint a Duna part.
Jelen esetben a Monostori erőd Duna bástyájánál kialakított kikötőben állították föl az emlékművet. A Duna bástyánál nagy-hajók kikötésére alkalmas megállót építettek ki, stabil utashíddal. A komáromi Duna szakaszon igazi látványossággal bővült a repertoár, azzal, hogy a "világító-tornyot" felújítva itt állították föl.
A torony sorsát Bartók Gertrud értesítései alapján távolról is sikerült követni - köszönet érte.
Ha a talapzatot egy hajó orrnak képzeljük el, akkor az a Duna-bástyára mutat.
