It is OK to come here and do quick grocery shopping during the day, however not good for weekend or more adequate shopping. Look out for the self checkout facilities don't be fooled by the queue.

Basic, but well located shop

They sell stuff here that you don’t normally get in other stores like: Mini ice lolly’s, maoam lollypops. Good for quick shopping if you need something. They have a self checkout system for people who don’t want to wait for the cashier. Overall it’s a good place to go for a quick snack shop

Clean and well organized small grociery. I like it although the product portfolio is not as wide as in a real supermarket. The employees are generally young but kind and polite.

I was shopping there on Friday 1 March, 09.37 in the morning and the younger female cashier stole 10000 forint from me. I paid with a 20000 bill and she should have given me around 19000 in change,I got around 9000. I was in a hurry, plenty on my mind and stressed so when she handed me the change I didnt count or check how much money she gave me before I was home.... I was the only customer there also so no eyewitness to the crime. A nice opportunity for her to rip off a stressed tourist when no one else is around to see how much money I really give her. She gave me the bills tightly packed so I could only see the one bill on top of the stack. Other cashiers fan out the bills or even count the bills in front of you so you can see every single bill. Later I discovered the receipt said that only 10000 had been paid/received. I know for sure that I paid her 20000 because right before I was going to pay I told myself to break a 20000 bill because I didnt have smaller bills. I should have counted the change immediately of course. I imagined I was relatively safe for thieves at Tesco... well,we learn something new all the time. I will be more vigilant here in Hungary from now on.

Fruits and vegetables are regularly left out way past their prime, covered in gnats. The store is tiny, cramped and selection is mediocre. Homeless people love to hang out in the square around the fountain and do their shopping here as well. The neighborhood desperately needs an Aldi or Lidl!
