Ha az ember sportosan él, egyen sportos halat, ha nem akkor pláne. De leginkább pisztrángot. Számtalan érv szól a pisztráng mellett! Merthogy nem csupán sporthorgászati, hanem zenei (Franc Schubert), irodalmi (Christian Friendrich, Daniel Schubert, Richard Brautigan) jelentőséggel is bír a lazacfélék családjának ez a rokonszenves tagja. Távol álljon azonban tőlem, hogy általános esztétikai közhelyeket írjak a pisztrángról. Mert minden művészi vonatkozás között mégis a konyhaművészeti a legjelentősebb. A pisztrángot elkészíteni nem nehéz, ha valaki ismeri a pisztráng természetét. Mégsem egyszerű feladat. Vannak olyan halak, amelyekből szinte mindent lehet és érdemes készíteni. Még az sem baj, ha közben a hal maga egy kicsit háttérbe szorul a különféle ízesítők, mártások és köretek mögött. A pisztráng azonban egészen más. Akkor a legélvezetesebb, amikor át tudja adni a tisztaságát, frissességét, természetes zamatát. Az tehát az igazi mestere a pisztrángnak, aki az ízesítés finom árnyalataival tud játszani, aki tudja, hogy a tányérra omló zsenge pisztráng maga az attrakció, amelynek a fűszerek csupán a hatását vannak hivatva erősíteni. Én csupán egy remek friss salátára vágyom mellé. Azt már nehezebb megfejteni, miért is támadnak az embernek ettől könnyedén szárnyaló gondolatai.Réz András

If you like trout this is the place to go. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, and you could easily pass it without notice on your way to Visegrad castle, but then you would be missing something special. Best visited on days appropriate to outdoor dining, you are advised to reserve ahead for a table on the rear deck area, which overlooks the Duna (Danube). On most weekends, you cannot eat here without a reservation. Trout is the thing here, whole fish served with a variety of toppings. My favorite is the homemade pesto, a coarse mixture of parsley, nuts and seasonings that goes perfectly with the fish. The fish is cooked in a unique way toasts the belly part of the fish so that it is crisp and you eat it bones and all. Really. It's delicious. The rest of the fish is tender and moist. The fish is served with a simple salad topped with delicious sesame dressing and/or steak fries to die for. I suggest half and half (fela fela). It's a large plate of food, but you won't feel heavy afterwards. Wine or beer are available, too. Some people are also able to have a starter of soup, and maybe dessert, too, but I can never eat that much. A great place to come with family or friends. Open year round, but the outdoor dining experience is the best. Cash or credit cards.

The fish served here is absolutny delicious! It is fresh, crispy and tasty. Definitely worth to try.

One of those magical places that do one thing, but one thing well. Very well in this case, highly recommended. Soups are great too, but you will have the trout anyway.

Order n-1 portions, they bring huge stuff so otherwise you'll need to doggiebag your tasty fish. I suggest using the pre-order option as preps take time (all fresh). Last time for 5 ppl (2 teenagers) we ordered 3 portions and it was just great. Count 10 EUR each.

Fast service, nice people, and almost everything is handmade from the pesto you can order with your fish, to the sauce on the salad. You can order your fish in 3 different serving types, each one is worth a try. If you are passing by or having a hike this place is definitely worth the stop.

The best place! We discovered it with my partner a couple of years ago, but we’ve become regulars since then. The trout is very fresh, complemented by fantastic flavors. My favorites are truffles and parmesan, but they are all divinely delicious! I recommend it wholeheartedly to fish lovers like me!
