★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Palotai Gyula (1911-1976) szobrász 1955-ös műve.
A szobor valamivel nagyobb egy életnagyságú úszónőnél: 220cm magas.
A feltehetően vízbe készülő hölgy a haját igazítja, egyrészes fürdőruhában van, ami persze színben nem üt el a testtől.
Érdekes, hogy vaskosabb, erősebb nőalak, mint ahogy ma egy nőt ábrázolnának. Feltehetően az akkori kor "nőalakja".
A 2014-es Google felvételen hiányzik a szobor a talapzatról. Fa dőlt rá, és ezért esett le, majd vitték be a Hajós Alfréd uszodába egy időre. Nem vandálok rongálták meg (köszönöm az információt Janik Józsefnek).

The statue is slightly larger than a life-size swimmer: 220cm high.
The lady, presumably prepared for water, straightens her hair, she is in a one-piece swimsuit, which of course does not strike the body in color.
Interestingly, it is a thicker, stronger female figure than a woman would be depicted today. Presumably the "female figure" of the time.
The 2014 Google image is missing the statue from the pedestal. A tree fell on it, and so it fell, and was taken into the Alfred Hajós swimming pool for a time. It was not vandalized (thanks to József Janik for the information).
