★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The service was excellent, Istvan is one of the best waiter I come across in Hungary: polite, patient an old-fashioned hospitality champion, he made me stay after a long wait for service as the place was packed...the food however was not good ( crumbed mushrooms), nearly inedible...burned and dried out...the salad was good...so service 5 * food 2*

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, we had already left two other restaurants in Sárospatak, before we found this one. My wife was already impatient, but she admitted that it was worth to switch to. They had two different tourist menus, everything was perfect, the staff was very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'd like to say we enjoyed our time and meal at Andras Etterem, but I'm not a liar. We waited over 10 minutes simply to be greeted and given menus, but the sour-faced waitress completely ignored us. The place wasn't even busy. Eventually we got sick of being treated like pariahs and left.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really wanted to like it here, a friendly lady recommended going here. The waitress was very friendly, and the place was very cozy, but the food was OK at best. 6 of us ordered different things, but not one of us could say it was particularly delicious.

The staff is inexperienced. They bring dishes separately and speak only mediocre English.
If you can, dine elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely restaurant. Expect to wait for the food, it is not a Fast Food. We came as a group of 10 people, there were just 4 already inside. Waitress didn't communicate in English. Unfortunately they do not smile even. Fish soup was great.
