The wall of the castle on the Danube side has long been beautifully restored, but a large part of the Franciscan church and monastery were built on it even earlier, I know largely from the stones of the castle, with which it was largely destroyed. These buildings have recently been beautifully renovated and the interior of the castle next to the monastery has been beautifully landscaped. However, before the landscaping, the excavated tomb of King Géza and the excavated ruins of the cathedral he founded were buried, which I think are so important memories of Hungarian history and the history of Vác that they deserved to be presented to those interested, and they could not even display a plaque on site. The owner of the area does not seem to be interested in these. Elsewhere, they would enjoy such historical monuments, and here, unfortunately, they are not appreciated. 8 ( At the same time, it is positive that King Geza has at least an old statue on the top of the castle wall, at least that is how he is remembered. The remains of one of the castle's bastions can be seen in the courtyard of the vocational high school. My criticism is not of the castle itself, but of the owner of the area and the management of the area. It would have been better to destroy less and repair more, to present it.
