A hídon 1906 december 24-én haladt át az első vonat.
Az utolsó vonat pedig, 2009 december 12-én a vonal bezárása miatt " nyugdíjazta " .
Maga a híd oszlopos rácsozású, szegecselt acélszerkezetekből áll.
A hídszerkezet vasanyagát az ózdi vasgyárban gyártották és a Schlick féle vasgyárban szerelték össze.
A felszerkezetét alul kereszttartók és szélrácsok merevítik.
A híd mindkét oldalán lévő gyalogjárón tölgyfa pallózat készült.
Vagyis, még harminc év garantáltan benne van ebben a megbecsült iparos munkában.
