★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Az Egri Vàr védőinek emlékére készítette Kisfaludi Stróbl Zsigmond. 1968 óta a Dobó téren àllt, 2015-ben felújítottàk és àthelyezték a Végvàri vitézek terére. Az àttelepítés paràzs vitàt vàltott ki, akàrcsak a Dobó tér àtalakítàsa. A szoborcsoport gyönyörű, a vàros egyik jelképe, hazànk egyik legszebb köztéri szobra.
It was made by Zsigmond Kisfaludi Stróbl in memory of the defenders of Eger Castle. It has been located on Dobó Square since 1968, it was renovated in 2015 and moved to the Square of the Bourgeois Knights. The relocation provoked a controversy, as did the transformation of the Dobó Square. The group of sculptures is beautiful, one of the symbols of the city, one of the most beautiful public sculptures in Hungary.

Beautiful group of sculptures. It is incomprehensible that we had to move from Dobó Square to the tiny meadow.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Igényesen fel lett újítva ez a hangulatos kis tér, ahová áthelyezték az impozáns szobrot, mely korábban a Dobó teret díszítette. A előző helyén, a tér jellegéből és méreteiből adódóan számomra nem nyújtott akkora élményt, mint a mostani talapzatán. Bár nincs annyira központi helyen, mint korábban, de akit érdekel ez a csodálatos szoborcsoport, itt is megcsodálhatja. És ha már Egerben jár, akkor feltétlenül tegye meg!
This cozy little space has been beautifully renovated, where the imposing statue, which used to adorn the Dobó Square, has been relocated. In its previous place, due to the nature and dimensions of the space, it did not provide me with as much experience as it did on its current pedestal. Although not as central as it used to be, anyone interested in this wonderful group of sculptures can admire it here as well. And if you are already in Eger, be sure to do it!
