★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There couldn't be a better invite than a bag of plastic balls with colours worn out by sunlight exposure and permanent Christmas decorations on the door. Only on a wooden pallet doubling as a step separates you from the entry to this paradise of goods.
Atmosphere 8/10: Vibrant and energetic with random Vietnamese commercials and loud music mixed with the aggressive sounds coming from the phone of the cashier, permanently glued to TikTok.
Selection 10/10: Beats the old favourite Bian market at Sas utca. Combining the underwear with the champagne section is probably a calculated marketing move. Likewise the strategic placement of fake eye lashes near the cash desk—for the last minute need of embellishment (for your panties and champagne party?).
Favourite find 7/10: Bags of plastic bags. A long-forgotten guilty pleasure in the times of environmental awareness. Just looking at it makes your eyes tear up mourning the fate of the planet. It beat another strong contender: sets of single-use coffee creamers wrapped in plastic for an extra dose of... well, plastic.
