A totally impromptu lunch decision to finally taste the modern local flavors of this region, and it was quality comfort dining to the max.
Situated by a flowing 'brook' halfway between Gyula and Békéscsaba, this hospitable Csárda has been an uplift in the restaurant scene here in Békés County.
Modern Interiors and table/glassware compliment the traditions of the Csárda, and they too, have a wine cellar, and out-door sitting space. The service is friendly for the County, and efficient in accommodating guests on a Good Friday lunch rush hour.
The dishes are down-to-earth and the flavors appealing with every bite and chew. The local and international selection of wines and spirits are abundant, and I had a very good pinot noir rosé which went extremely well with my two dishes of 'Liba Maj' and 'Hal Tepertó'.
Extremely satisfied to the point of happiness :).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my second time here and they certainly did not let me down. Traditional Hungarian food prepared to perfection. The restaurant located in between Békéscsaba and Gyula and there is a small river by the building. It was great to eat fish soup by the water!
The service was also great, all are polite, the place is clean, menu is available in English, so all together we had a wonderful time here. I highly recommend this place to all who'd like to get closer to the Hungarian culture and feeling!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great experience with wonderful service and wonderful delicious food. I would highly recommend this place! It has great location right next to the road, it was refreshing to stop by before driving to Budapest. The only thing I would change on google maps, I would change $$ to $$$ for clearer expectations.
