★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You feel like this place is at the end of the world but it is worth stopping by if you are hiking or driving in the area. My favorite are the Slovak-style dumplings with sheep's cheese - the area has a Slovak ethnic minority, so it is authentic! The home-made lemonades and syrups (szörp!) are also great. If you can, sit outside on the terrace under the huge pine trees and enjoy the peace. A lot of times they do not take card payments, as the terminal seems to be down, but do not worry if you do not have cash, ask for a bank account number and you can just transfer the money to them (it works perfectly with immediate wire transfers in Hungary, we have paid like this for three times at least).
