Hello! I anticipate that what I am writing is “out of place” at this store, but unfortunately it characterizes many local service providers. After a decade of living in Budapest, it is incomprehensible to me what some shops and sellers here in Szombathely do and can afford. Since I’ve been biking and moving back in for many years, I thought I was looking for a local service where I could take two rims for a tire change, and at the same time I bought a child seat for my bike, so I knew I had to buy a trunk. (I’ve never used it before.) The salesman “gentleman” who worked in the store when administering the rims is the one thing he didn’t wear a mask and didn’t put on during our conversation, but his style and attitude were knife-opening. Whoever can react to the arrival of the customer with a bored face and an innervated head, in my opinion, look for another occupation for himself. My eyes rolled on my questions and the indifference and tremendous effort with which he squeezed two sentences out of himself was almost palpable. He just didn’t say let’s get the hell out of him anymore because he doesn’t want to talk to us. Then after that he sold me a trunk that on the one hand wasn’t good for my bike, even though I asked for the exact type, and on the other hand I didn’t even need a child seat. This was said at another bike shop where I also went in to buy a trunk after it turned out they only had one type. What pushed the evaluation a little higher than mine was the more positive attitude of the other seller I met for the second time. He at least correctly took back (included) the trunk in the price of the tires. In a word like a hundred, I don’t understand local service providers. As if the old system of “the customer is for the service provider and not the other way around” is still in vogue here in many places. Unfortunately, I have to say that many local service providers, if they were to measure themselves in the face of real competition, would quickly pull the blinds down or put unsuitable vendors on the streets at lightning speed. This is because this style can only be sold until the majority of people who care not only about the existence of the product (which is basic), but also the quality of the service.
