★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A kilátóhely Witt Lajos erdőmérnöknek állít emléket, aki az iharkúti vasútvonalat tervezte, egyetemi előadó volt Sopronban, ő vezette be a korszerű erdei mezőgazdálkodást . 1956-ban Kanadába emigrált, ahol a Brit Kolumbiai Egyetem zoológiai intézetének múzeumában kurátor volt. 1994-ben halt meg, és kérésének megfelelően itt, az ugodi erdőben temették el hamvait, igaz, csak 4 évvel később.
 The lookout commemorates Lajos Witt, a forest engineer who designed the Iharkút railway line, was a university lecturer in Sopron, and introduced modern forest farming. He emigrated to Canada in 1956, where he was curator at the Museum of the Institute of Zoology at British Columbia University. He died in 1994 and, at his request, his ashes were buried here in the Ugod forest, albeit only 4 years later.
