Staff are bored and not helpful (not just one or two - many that we asked for help). Typical XXXLutz layout and wide selection of goods. Upmarket goods. Restaurant closed and lift out of order.

Four floors of furniture and and any home object you may imagine and need. Even though prices are a bit high, there are also good discounts. Worth a visit even just to have fun on a cold winter weekend afternoon.

My experience happen a few weeks back and I took the time before I write the review so I can write it clear and without feelings. We (me and my wife) have purchased quite a few things and 2 large items (a Bed and a Sofa). I will start with the good part: the quality of the items we have purchased are good and therefore they have earned a star for that. Now to the reality check. Bed issues: knowing the long lead time we purchased our bed in the first week of September. We had a pleasant call in mid October to say the bed arrived earlier. We went to the store and the problems started. So we went to the cashier and finalized the payment and were instructed to go to the receiving area. Waiting there.. waiting there and nothing.. we went to enquire and the cashier did not put our order on the system so they had nothing for us.. back to the cashier, rectify the mistake and back to the receiving area. Confirmed they received and waiting... waiting. We went to enquire again.. and our bed was broken and they forgot to tell us... nice job. So we had to go to the customer service area to report that and see the next step. In the customer service area we were told we need a paper with the issue and we would have to go back to the receiving area to ask for it. At that point my wife had enough and told them to sort it out we were not doing nothing else. To resume we spend over 2 hours there. There were 2 emails sent from my side before we finally got the bed delivered to our house. Both emails I never received any answer back. My wife also tried several times to contact them by phone and on the last day they had reached back to her to arrange the delivery. Extremely poor customer service. Sofa: we went there and the sofa was available to be picked immediately, however the option available did not suit our space and we would need it to be in a different position set so we had wait for that (which we were told there was available in another store so should be quick and someone would contact us in the same week for it). No one contact us. my wife went there and again they said someone would contact us. Nothing after a week. My wife went there again.. nothing. So I went with her next time and asked to speak with the manager. I will not disclose the full conversation however It was not a welcoming and solution based conversation to start, which I had to turn around in our favor. Customer care: there is none to be honest. They have zero intention to provide any descent customer care. I am well aware of how customer laws and service are in Europe and I could use that to our advantage, otherwise they would have treated us like garbage as they do not care an ounce for you. it was costly to them the mistakes and you should not accept peanuts when discussing with them. Assembling the items: well if you ever had issues putting together any Ikea stuff I suggest you get someone else to assemble the items for you. I have my own tolls and I am very capable of putting things together, however the set of instruction is the ultimate garbage and took me longer to figure it out the bed instructions them to actually assemble the bed itself, which was quite quick to be honest. I think they take a massive advantage of the lack of competition in the same field. In other countries they would have been closed already for sure as there would be other competitors, unfortunately they do not have anyone to compete against (except Ikea to a certain extend, as they are in different design/quality levels). I lived in several countries in Europe, Middle East and South America and I can say one thing for sure. This is the WORST customer service I ever received in my life (42 years old to put it into context). Conclusion: Shopping there if you can take the items is not a problem, customer service is rubbish, be aware of items not available and placing orders with them, problems will not be dealt with it easily , quality of items are good, instruction of assembling are rubbish

If you need items for your home it is very good place to go. From carpets up to chandeliers you can find everything. Quality is pretty good and prices is acceptable...and store is now renovated even it has good restaurant.

Great selection of furniture and decoration. Good sales on a selected days! Worth to check them in advance.

The less organized store ever. Literally no processes, custom order minimum 2 hours, zero info available at any time, rules of whats needed for pickup change overnight…

In a Capital city like Budapest, XxxLutz store has an info desk + 2 staff that do not speak english+ didn't try to help.. we had to walk randomly asking other departments if anyone can answer a simple question in English. Disappointed!!

Huge variety of Christmas decorations and all of them looks very nice. They sell a lots of great products but I think most of them are overpriced a bit, but you can find some great deals there. The tram stops nearby so it’s easily accessible via public transport.
