Separate registrations were made by Kiskundorozsma and later by Forráskút from 1941. From 1993, the parish is transferred to the Szeged-Csanád Diocese from the diocese of Vác.

A római katolikus templom alapkőletétele 1923-ban történt meg és végül 1927-re épült fel. A templom neoromán stílusú építészeti jegyeket hordoz. A plébánia 1993-tól átkerült a Váci egyházmegyétől a Szeged-Csanádi Egyházmegyéhez. A legutóbbi felújítás 2010-ben volt. A templom műemléki védelem alatt áll. Érdekesség, hogy a helyiek visszaemlékezései szerint a harang lezuhant a toronyba emelése során. In 2020, I completed the Great Plain Blue Tour with my cousin and friends, during which we also passed through the settlement of Zsombó. The foundation stone of the Roman Catholic church was laid in 1923 and was finally built in 1927. The church has neo-Romanesque architectural features. The parish was transferred from the Diocese of Vác to the Diocese of Szeged-Csanád in 1993. The last renovation was in 2010. The church is a listed building. Interestingly, locals recall that the bell crashed as it was lifted into the tower.
