A szobor a huszárezred ajándéka a városnak.
Az avatáson az egykori huszár,Pap Lázár állt díszőrséget.
Az ezred fenállása : 1741-1918.
In December 1914, one of the bloodiest battles of World War I took place between the Austrian and Russian armies in Limanova, Poland. It was inaugurated on the anniversary of these heroic battles in December 1939, created by Pál Pátzay.
The statue is a gift from the Hussar Regiment to the city.
At the inauguration, the former hussar, Lázár Pap, was on guard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nagyon szépen kivitelezett és fiatalon tartott szobor, amit 1939. december 9. napján avattak fel. Kicsit meglepő, hogy a huszár pucér, de így talán szemléletesebb az ereje és elszántsága. Mintha elég volna a lova és a kivont kardja, hogy csatába menjen.
