★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good traditional food, with friendly staff and beautiful view. They take cards and speak English, if you wish. Good wine selection and normal beer menu. Everything there looks delicious. It is inside the castle, so if you sit next to the window, you may have a great view

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our dinner at 1552 Étterem was marvelous. The ambiance was superb, the waiters were professional and attentive. The restaurant has an ideal location near Egri Vár, perfect for visiting tourists. Above all, the meals were delicious. The buffalo goulash soup and Taste of Bükk starters were above our expectation. Oh and the angus beef filet mignon was phenomenal! Since Eger is a wine region, the waiters were knowledgeable in suggesting good wine pairings with the dishes. The food was so good that we just dived in and finished eating before we realized that we forgot to take photos. Overall, it was an amazing gastronomical experience and we will certainly keep coming back! Thank you 1552 Étterem!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most outstanding gastronomic experience for a while. We tried Hortobágy pancakes as appetizer, duck-duo and game meat stew as main dish and also some dessert. Everything was delicious and the service was also fine despite of the temporary shortage of drink selection.
