 It is a beautiful and clean monument of a wonderful man who saved the lives of hundreds of Hungarian people from his almost certain death when abroad. Many could learn from him in the field of altruism.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2015 őszén Óbudán emlékkövet avattak és utcát neveztek el Ángel Sanz-Briz (Zaragoza, 1910 – Róma, 1980) spanyol diplomata tiszteletére. „Budapest angyala” a második világháború alatt szolgált Budapesten. Tájékoztatta Franco tábornokot a holokauszt létezéséről. 1944-ben több mint 5000 magyar zsidó számára spanyol útlevelet biztosított és mentette őket a holokauszttól. A mentéshez saját vagyonát is felhasználta. Tevékenységéért megkapta a Világ Igaza elismerést.
In the autumn of 2015, a memorial stone was unveiled in Óbuda and a street was named in honor of the Spanish diplomat Ángel Sanz-Briz (Zaragoza, 1910 - Rome, 1980). The "Angel of Budapest" served in Budapest during World War II. He informed General Franco of the existence of the Holocaust. In 1944 he provided Spanish passports for more than 5,000 Hungarian Jews and saved them from the Holocaust. He also used his own assets to save. For his work, he has received the World's True Recognition.
