Aura Hotel - Aura Hotel

I had a wonderful time there. The hotel is at a good location and the rooms are very beautiful and premium. My only issue as to why I gave a 4 star is that although you pay for breakfast and dinner, during dinner you need to separately pay for drinks, even water. This isn't made explicitly clear when you book. Still not sure why drinks are charged during dinner. Apart from this, wonderful hotel

very nice and cosy hotel, we had a lovely stay and enjoyed the gorgeous spa and wellness area several times. everything was very clean and tended to. the staff is nice, the food delicious and the rooms spacious, modern and overall fantastic. we also got a massage which was wonderful. it's close to the lake and the promenade but very quiet at night - perfect for a relaxing wellness vacation!

One of the best hotel in Hungary. I loved that there is no children in the hotel so if you wish to relax this is the perfect choice. I also loved the food.. I’ve never had this quality with half board. The staff was super kind. We got upgrade on the room. My partner and me were super satisfied. Thank you for making our vacation memorable!! ?

Overall, the hotel was nice, clean and modern. The wellness was excellent, but we disagree with the idea of giving special (pillowed) sunbeds for extra (high) fee, it should be included in the price like in other hotels we been to. This way it felt like a rip-off. Room and bed were really comfortable, nice selection of pillows. Water is refilled every day to the minibar that can be used free of charge. The foods were okay but we expected more based on the advertised gastronomy experience. The drinks in the bar were tasty, huge selection of gins and tonics, however we did not like any of the bar foods we have tasted, those would really need improvement. For example hamburger meat tasted and looked like cheap frozen, pre-made meat, the products of the bar felt overpriced. Location of the hotel is nice, closest beach is a few minutes of walk, city centre is around 10 minutes of walk. There is no free beach in the whole city, that is a shame. Parking was possible next to the hotel, it was always almost full, parking is not separated with any fence or something from the street, anyone can walk in or even touch your car from the street, fence should be applied for improved safety. Also I missed shadows from the parking, there are no trees or roofs, cars are burning in the summer sunshisne, the apartman complex next to he hotel has shadowing roofs and covered parking slots, same solution should be implemented here.

Nice, modern hotel with really great kitchen. Wellness and fitness room was also lovely. But the best part was the staff. There were no requests what they could not handle quickly, with a lot of kindness :)))

The food and serving was incredible, it's a very romantic place. However, there was no air conditioning in the room, and it was continously 27 Celsius.

While the review of the others isn’t untrue I think this hotel deserves more credit. The food is amazing it’s a true gastronomical experience of traditional Hungarian food, which you can get stuffed with as the soups are bottomless and the portions are great. The local wine selection is excellent. The bar has a great gin selection but I agree that bar snacks need improvement, as finger food is not widely advertised, but this is also cultural. For instance crisps are taxed heavily in Hungary, so it’s hard to get a decent pack in general. Private parking is available and there is always space. Spa is great, gym is small but adequate. Bike and electric scooter rental is available so you can explore Tihany and the city easily. The team is attentive to your every need. If you are expecting decent service you will get it, just ask, be kind and you will be treated well. Good price quality ratio for a hotel of 4 stars. Highly recommend pre season, when the hotel is still quiet and the streets of Füred are quiet too. No free beach but hey: you have a whole spa!

A really nice Boutique Hotel, good location, nice, tasteful interior, clean, good sized spa, outdoor pool...4 stars instead of 5, because of the mostly not attentive and kind of untrained and overwhelmed staff. On the other hand I have to say that the staff was very friendly, everyone spoke English and German. The food was really good quality and very tasty, nicely arranged on the plates and good sized portions. Breakfast was great, a lot of options, insanely good Eggs Benedikt....just one day a lack of bread. Sunnary: a few shortcomings, but well worth visiting and we will come back
