Excellent accomodation place ! Rooms are clean and isolated. Atmosphere is warm and confortable. The manager is very kind and very attentive with us, he always have good advice to allow us to discover Budapest easily ! I highly recommend AVAIL Hostel !

The best place I could stay. The place is nearby the city center, very well served by public transport, but you can easily go walking, too. Everything you could possibly need (exchange bureau, market, restaurants and pubs) is nearby . The apartment is comfortable, quiet, well kept and really clean. My room (the double room with private bathroom) was lovely, newly renovated; last but not least, Sandor, the owner, is the kindest and most helpful person I could meet! Highly recommended!

The room that we stayed was really clean and nice and the toilets (private and common) were amazing. The location of the hostel is perfect (right in the Jewish quarter), walking distance from many of the synagogues and Budapest eye, tons of food options for you as well as Szimpla ruin bar is just opposite side of the street (don't worry, there a thick glass window to shield all the noise out for a peaceful sleep). Last but not least, the host was very nice, he sat us down and told us what to do in Budapest, how to use the public transport and plan our itinerary and told us to contact him if we needed help. Because of his hospitality, it ended my first Europe trip on a sweet note.

Best hostel you could wish for in the city of Budapest; the owner Sandor is incredibly kind and passionate about the city, we can not wait to come back!

I've stayed in Ritz Carltons, Airbnb's, Hostels, and slept on friends' couches all over the World. And staying here was one of the greatest hospitality experiences I've ever had. And that is because of the owner, Sandor. Upon first entering the place, Sandor ran us through EVERYTHING about Budapest for an HOUR with a detailed map and itineraries and prices while also telling Budapest's story and history. It felt like the place came with a free tour guide and travel planner. Throughout the stay he was also always one text away for any questions or any concerns at all. The location is also probably the greatest you can find in all of Budapest. Right in between Buda and Schezenyi and literally 30 seconds from Szimpla Kert and 5 minutes walk from Instant-Fogas. Allowed my buddy and I to get to Buda castle in 12 minutes by transport and then stumble home drunk from the ruin bars in so little time that we didn't even need a jacket. I am not exaggerating. If you manage to find availability here, you will NOT find better accommodations. The beds are cozy and the rooms are simple but all you need. Bathrooms are beautiful with consistent hot water - turns out Sandor modeled them himself. Of course he did, because there's nothing he can't do. Can't wait to be back.

When you consider location, access, host and food- this hostel rates a 10 on every scale. Kaczinski street is right in the middle of the action. Easy access to us,team and metro. Close to museums and most sights. Great food- Ruin pubs around, diners and restaurants within a few yards. Tesco grocery is at the end of the street. Best of all, the apartments have good WiFi, security and very close to the Szimpla Sunday markets. Cannot say enough about the host. He cares about his customers, replies quickly and is a wealth of info. Have been staying here for the past 5 yrs and many times, it's been 2x year.10 points on every scale.

If you go to budapest you definately have to book your stay at AVAIL! Sandor is the best host imaginable. First of all, the contact was exceptional. When we arrived, Sandor sat down with us and showed all the best places to go and recommended things on every level (tourist atttactions, restaurants, going out, etc). The mail contact before we arrived was also really good! Sandor helped us with some problems we had during our journey. The room we were staying in (double bed, shared bathroom) was really nice and also clean. The bathroom is also really nice and easy to share. The location couldn't be better than this. You are right in the center of everything. It's located in the same street as szimpla kert (a ruin bar you should check out) and the best bar in town (called instant) is right around the corner. Although you are in a 'going out' street you wouldn't hear any noise. Sandor told us he installed like a 5-layed window, so you won't hear anything! So if you're not into going out, you should still go here. Lots of tourist attractions are really close by, or are very easy to reach with public transport (you can get a 72h pass for example). So overall, best hostel imaginable. Go here!

There was a house party and karaoke directly next to the room. I chose this hostel because the reviews said it was totally silent despite of its location. I didn’t sleep a single second thanks to those reviews. If you’re only here for party: Great! If you want to use your room for sleeping: Stay as far away from here as possible, worst night of my life!
