Nice hotel with a decent restaurant.

Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, relaxing environment. The outdoors pools and the panorama sauna is especially nice. They have a bar and multiple restaurants, a gokart track and an absurdly big playground for kids. Nice and modern hotel. An overall premium experience.

We stayed from 27-29 Oktober at avalon in miskolc. We are very dissapointed, we never had such a bad Service totally overpriced for what it offers. Only the personal on the Rezeption and one person at breakfast speaks english. We also had towels together. When checking out no one found it necessarry to ask if we were satiesfied. Every accomodation in asia had more friendlyness. Really cannot recommend this hotel. Price and performance are not right.

Perfect place... Too food, service, asortment.. Great enterteinment for kids, and adults.. ??? Karting race... perfect expirience for me and my kids... It was too cold to try pool and spa... but... WILL BACK ASAP!!! ??????

Picture perfect. Literally the only downside I could find is that the parking garage is cash only.. The rest is awesome and a must visit.

Absolute level of perfection and style. Perfect combination of scenery, nature, delicious italian food and incredible spa. Their attention to detail is beyond expectation. Lovely and kind staff to accompany the experience. Best hotel in Hungary.

(+) Great vacation site for families with kids of ages 3-12 in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. Has a large indoor and outdoor playground ("Maya") with lots to do. Regional hiking trails are nearby. Has a small pool facing the forest, very relaxing. (-) Catering is not adequately prepared for food intolerances and allergies. Particularly milk. Allergens are not always indicated and staff also aren't always aware. Options without allergens are limited. Caused me some nasty surprises. This is sad, as food would otherwise be great, esp. in the BBQ restaurant. UPDATE since I can't directly respond to the owner's statement: I of course opened the extended menu online, but in the Italian reataurant, butter and milk were separately shown and apparently even the waiter wasn't aware of this as he recommended rose duck as a milk-free option (yet it was fried in butter - made of milk...). The BBQ restaurant's online menu had no allergens stated but the waiters were at least aware. Breakfast had no allergens shown. This must be minimally addressed at the premium price level this hotel represents. Even better would be to have more dairy and/or gluten-free options.

We had the chance to try the wellness and the restaurant. In general I think the wellness is overpriced for the equipment and layout but the environment compensates for it. The restaurant offers a wide range of meal choices. We tried, pizza, pasta, steak, salad and all were exceptional. Probably the best pizza in town, the pasta is over sauced but good quality. Service is also decent.
