About Ave Natura Camping

Let us introduce you the Ave Natura Camping in Budapest!

A camping site, only 5 km out of the city centre!

The newly opened, family-run camping is about 5km out of the city centre, immediately neighbouring the Zugliget ‘Niche’ Camping. Our site is around 6000 m2, is mainly grass-covered, and dotted with leafy trees and shrubs, offering a variety of pitches from shady terraces to sunnier flat areas. The site is especially suitable for setting up groups of tents (for families, school-groups, bicycle-tours, etc.). We accommodate motor caravans (motor homes or camper vans) as well.

From our camping the centre of Budapest is just a 25-minutes journey away by public transport. From the main transport hub of Buda, Széll Kálmán tér (previously Moszkva tér, Moscow square), the main tourist attractions of Buda, the Royal Palace with its museums, and the famous Matthias Church among them, are easily reachable on foot or by the castle bus. The other, Pest-side of the Danube ( the Parliament Building, the Basilica, the Millenary Monument) is also accessible from here by the Metro’s No. 2, (red) line, as-well-as by bus or tram.

Our services match European standars.

We have two newly renovated wash-blocks, with controlable hot/cold water showers, wash-basins and sinks, the use of which is included in the price. We also have washing machines for your convenience.

Free Internet (WI-FI) use!

Guests returning from the city are greeted by fresh air and an environment encouraging walks or bicycle-rides in the surrounding hills. The chair-lift terminal next door provides easy access to the highest point in the Buda Hills, the János hegy, and its unforgettable panorama to the capital city.

There is a fast and easy way to the Sziget Festival from our camp sight. Take bus No. 291 and get off at the Buda side of Margaret Bridge. Here you change to the suburban railway No. 5 (HÉV 5), witch takes you to the Filatorigát stop, where the festival is. The whole journey takes approximately 50 minutes.

Stayed here for 10 days, the people are very nice and helpful. They speak good English and will answer any questions you have. There aren't that many toilets and showers, but they are good and clean. The place itself is also very nice, it has a good bus connection to the city centre and a lot of trees that give shade on hot and sunny days.

Stayed here for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and helpful owners, basic but clean facilities. Quite a small campsite, but pitches a decent size. Also a really cool environment even in the heat of Budapest thanks to all the trees, and very quiet and peaceful. Excellent transport links into Budapest, just one bus, half an hour to center. Would definitely return.

Beautiful camping, very helpful staff and a very nice location. Very laid back and casual atmosphere here so you don't have to follow a hundred silly rules, just behave yourself. It's not at all expensive either by European standards. Don't expect a very large space however! Don't bring a massive 10-person tent, because it will be hard to get a spot. I would recommend it for those on a roadtrip and staying a few days in Budapest. Perfect for friend groups. Bus connection is nearby so you don't need a car to visit the city center.

A great cosy campsite on the hilly side of Budapest. The owner is very hospitable and helps you with everything you need. The bus stop is in about 5 minutes walking distance and the bus brings you downtown in about 20 minutes. All facilities needed are present only the restrooms are a little bit outdated and narrow.

Shaded, rustic, meaning basic but pleasant setting, there is a road nearby, not so much used but a little noisy, showers basic, not so many if campsite gets busy. Buses into town but don't run much after 10 pm. Lovely woods nearby for walks though. Ground is a bit hard and stony if pitching a tent

The staff is friendly, for a van with to persons it costs 16 euros per night. It's a nice quite campingplace. It's on a hill so your quick in the city, but it takes forever to get back by bike so take the bus!

Very pleased and well prepared owner, with bus tickets, plan of the City and so on. Showers and Toilets are very simple but clean and functional (hot showers). Dog friendly! Lot of shadow, a little quiet place after a long day in the city. We will come back. Water is clean, electricity work.

Very flexible and nice host - the utilities are clean, the area is easily accessible. Several hiking trails are nearby. We went with a single tent for onle one night and we got the best service.
