★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amikor elindultam erre a túrámra, tudtam, hogy találni fogok itt egy emlékművet, de fogalmam sem volt róla, hogy valójában mit is rejt itt az erdő. Igencsak meglepődtem, amikor megláttam és elolvastam a márványtáblát, miszerint az emlékművet Balsay László emlékére állították. Akit érdekel a méltán híres erdőmérnök élettörténete, a nevére keresve a Google néhány oldalt felajánl, ahol lehet róla olvasni bővebben. Én leginkább a Rockenbauer Pál által szerkesztett Hansági kisvasút filmből emlékszem Rá, ott több alkalommal is nyilatkozott a Hanság történetével kalpcsolatban. A tábláról megtudtam, hogy 1982-ben hunyt el. Szóval, az ő emlékműve itt pihen csendesen 1996-óta a fák alatt. Aki erre jár, annak érdemes felkeresni!
 When I set out on this tour, I knew I was going to find a monument here, but I had no idea what the forest was really all about here. I was very surprised when I saw and read the marble plaque that the monument was erected in memory of László Balsay. For anyone interested in the life story of a deservedly famous forest engineer, Google offers a few pages where you can read more about it. I remember him most from the Hansági small railway film edited by Pál Rockenbauer, where he made several statements about the history of Hanság. I learned from the board that he died in 1982. So, his monument here has been resting quietly under the trees since 1996. Anyone who goes for this is worth a visit!
