Ráadásul épp a Püspökvárba egyenesen bevezető kapubástya, a Barbakán mellett húzódik, úgyhogy itt tökéletesen megfigyelhető a középkori város, illetve vár erődítési rendszere. Néha koncerteket rendeznek benne. Időnként felmerül valamilyen modern építészeti "attrakcióval" történő kiegészítése, de hál'Istennek, ezekből egyelőre sosem lett semmi. Pécs is the only surviving moat to a significant extent. In addition, it is right next to the gate bastion, the Barbican, which leads directly to the Bishop's Castle, so the fortification system of the medieval town and castle can be perfectly observed here. Sometimes concerts are held in it. Occasionally there is the addition of some modern architectural "attraction," but thank God, these have never become anything so far.

Érdekes, hogy évtizedekkel korábban sportlétesítmények működtek itt, télen korcsolya-, a többi évszakban tenisz és kosárlabdapályák. A várárok keleti oldalán a Püspökvár külső várfala figyelhető meg, nyugati oldalán pedig egy szépen fennmaradt "contrascarpa", amelynek az a feladata, hogy megerősítse a várárkot. A középkorban vízzel töltötték fel, így védte a Püspökvárat. Szoktak itt is kutyát sétáltatni, vagy csak simán ejtőzni, jellemzően fiatalok. Megtalálható a kertben Melocco Miklós Ady-szobra is. Currently, most of the park ditches have a park function. Interestingly, decades earlier there were sports facilities here, skating in winter, tennis and basketball courts in other seasons. On the eastern side of the moat is the outer castle wall of the Episcopal Castle, and on the western side is a beautifully preserved "contrascarpa" whose task is to strengthen the moat. In the Middle Ages it was filled with water, thus protecting the Bishop's Castle. They also used to walk a dog here or just walk down smoothly, they are typically young. There is also a statue of Miklós Melocco Ady in the garden.
