G	Gabe Litvin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very impressive and massive with a huge richly decorated interior space as one might expect of such an impressive structure. There is access by stairs and elevator to a viewing balcony that surrounds the main dome. That is definitely worth the climb, or the ride. Also, there is the relic of St Stephan's hand, but that was not on display when we were there, although the very ornate encasement where the hand is normally viewed was there. Interestingly, the the hand can be illuminated for photos for a brief period by inserting a coin into a machine next to the encasement structure.

Construction began on the year 1851 , ending 54 years later, in 1905 , being consecrated that same year. The delays in the works were due to the fact that the dome had to be demolished in 1868 and rebuilt. The main architect was the Hungarian Miklós Ybl . The main façade is completed with two twin towers like bell towers; In the right tower is the heaviest (weighing nine tons) and the largest bell in Hungary. From the dome you get excellent panoramic views of Budapest; The top is accessed by elevators or by 364 steps . Among the works of art, the statues of Alajos Stróbl and the painting of Gyula Benczúr stand out. Thanks to its acoustics, inside you can enjoy organ concerts.

P	PTWA on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Imposing and solemn. Spectacular ecclesiastical building very visited by tourists. Admission only costs €1, a luxury. They have an elevator to go to the dome. This stop is very worth it.
