This is a good thing if you like very tasty, flavorful food, but not so much for the overly health-concious. The Spa could be better, but there are excellent baths and spas nearby (multiple choices within 10-15 min drive). Recommended if you get a good deal for a romantic weekend.

We have only tried the wellness section within the castle which in peak time seemed to be too small. We have attended 4 sauna seances that were every time different (salt,honey&palinka,fruits,cold water) which gave us a unique experience. We have also tried a one hour aroma bath for couples with a bottle of champagne, which with candles lit and a small bed in the room was very romantic but a bit overpriced. All in all we give a rating 4 because the food wasn't too good. Having the same breakfast choice was not a big deal in itself,but the choices for dinner weren't tasty at all,rather below average I would say. Deserts were either too bad or tasted only sugar. You are charged for service every time and even water is not included in dinner which in a 4star hotel should not be normal.

From the reception to the cleaning staff. We received and upgrad for free. Perhaps due to our daughter. She ended up having her own room. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The food. Well another great surprise. We had half-board and therefore as usual buffet breakfast and dinner. Not a great variety but the quality was outstanding. Even the spaghetti carbonara which is almost impossible to serve aldente in a buffet was quite good. In fact all of the food was of excellent quality. The hotel has a nice if small wellness area. There is an outdoor pool. Tennis courts and mini-golf and footgolf. I highly recommend it.

M	Martina Uhrinova on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely boutique hotel with wellness and outdoor swimming pool near Balaton lake. Great selection of food for breakfast and dinner. Halaszle is just beautiful. Large rooms with floor heating and useful kids play room. Friendly and helpful staff. Have a back massage, ladies are just wonderful. Mostly German and Hungarian language speaking staff. Hotel is not designed for disable people, there is no wheelchair access and no lifts as well.
