Melchior Hefele (magyarosan Hefele Menyhért) osztrák építész tervei alapján épült 1778 és 1783 között. A Püspöki Palota látogatható. The Episcopal Palace is one of the most beautiful late baroque (braid) style buildings in Hungary. Its builder was the first bishop of the diocese, János Szily. Melchior Hefele (Hungarian: Hyhele Menyhért) was built between 1778 and 1783 according to the plans of an Austrian architect. The Episcopal Palace can be visited.

Sajnos a palota belső része csak korlátozottan látogatható, de akinek van rá alkalma, feltétlen tegye meg. It is a beautiful (church) historic monument, especially since it was renovated this year (2016). Unfortunately, the inner part of the palace is restricted, but anyone who has the opportunity to do so should definitely do so.

The collection is fantastic, but I think the pictures of others speak for themselves. A Püspöki palota egy korszerű látogatóközpont, lifttel, elegáns mosdókkal, ruhatárral. A bemutatott értékek pedig a barokk korba visznek minket vissza. Amikor a zenészeket hallgattam, elfogott a "kiválasztottság" érzése, hogy ott lehetek. We were here for a concert. I had been here a long time ago, I was surprised at what substantial changes had taken place. The Episcopal Palace is a modern visitor center with an elevator, elegant washbasins and a cloakroom. And the values presented take us back to the Baroque era. When I listened to the musicians, I was captured by the feeling of “choice” to be there.

Its builder was the first bishop of the diocese, János Szily. Beautifully renovated. Both the garden and the interior are nicely maintained.

Ennek ellenére, sok tudnivalóval gazdagodtunk, és sok szép látnivalóban volt részünk a tárlatvezetés alatt. Köszönjük. Episcopal Palace, can only be visited by guide. We received a very prepared, enthusiastic guided tour, although we were present not as a group but as two older ladies. Nevertheless, we were enriched with a lot of information and had a lot of nice sights during the guided tour. Thank You.
