Sauvignon Blanc 2021
A Cloudy Bay egykori vezetőinek (Ivan Sutherland és James Healy) családi birtoka a Dog Point, neve Marlborough első telepeseitől származik, akik kerítés helyett pásztorkutyáikkal védték a juhokat. A kutyák közül pedig páran rendre elszöktek, falkákba verődtek, majd otthonuk egy síkságra néző, bozóttal borított domb volt, a Dog point. A domb őshonos fája (ti kouka) ma is meghatározó eleme a tájnak, ahonnan a két család szüretel. A művelés organikus, a pincéhez kizárólag saját szőlő érkezik a keveset termő sauvignon blanc tőkékről. Gyors préselés és hűtött erjesztés után pár hónap, mire a friss borok egyensúlya visszatér és a tartályokból derítés nélkül, minimális szűrés után palackba kerülnek. A stílusa eredeti, a helytől megszokott aromatikát gazdag tartalom, élénk ízek és finom egyensúly egészíti ki. Ilyen Új-Zéland egyik legismertebb családi birtokának bestsellere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice small wine store. We bought wines from the price segment 3-4000 huf, all was good. No tasting therefore I would not buy from the more expensive bottles. There is a good selection of Hungarian wines, but some sorts can be found in supermarket like Tesco cheaper. One star minus for the two shop assistants did not offer us help or advice though. They have a club card but only worth when one is a frequent buyer.
