Útlevél ellenőrzés
A check-in pult a repülőgép menetrendszerinti indulási ideje előtt 30 (diszkont légitársaságok esetén 40) perccel bezár, ez időpont után érkező utasok felvétele a járatra már nem lehetséges. Ha az utas nem schengeni övezetbe tartozó országba utazik, a jegykezelés után át kell esnie egy útlevél- vagy utazási okmány ellenőrzésen, ahol a hivatalos okmány mellett a beszállókártyának is kéznél kell lennie, mert ellenőrzés során ezt is elkérhetik. Amennyiben az utas schengeni országból schengeni országba utazik, tehát „határon belül” marad, nem kell okmányellenőrzésen átesnie.
Utasbiztonsági ellenőrzés
Célállomástól függetlenül, a repülőjárat indulása előtt minden utas, illetve feladott- és kézipoggyász biztonsági ellenőrzésen esik át. Az utasok ruházatának és kézipoggyászának átvizsgálására a jegykezelés és az útlevél ellenőrzés után kerül sor. Az utasok egy detektoros kapun mennek át, kézipoggyászukat pedig egy röntgen berendezéssel világítják át. Az eljárás célja az, hogy semmiféle szúró-vágó eszköz, fegyver, folyadék, vagy más, a repülés biztonságát veszélyeztető anyag, tárgy ne juthasson fel a gép fedélzetére.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although previously experience as small airport but recently renovated and expanded. Even though expanded, boarding still needs to be done via manual stairs with budget airlines. Improved alot compared to what it was almost 3 years ago.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the cleanest airport I've been to. Including the bathrooms. They even have a small art gallery for people to enjoy while passing on the hallway. You constantly se the cleaning personal at work, and they do a good job.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice airport, clean but ironically No facility for Smoking in departure lounge. Check in, security, passport control are quick. Arriving passengers will meet warm welcome at the immigration. A super store at the ground floor is a blessing as rates are normal like any super store in the town.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Airport is having most of the amenities. It is convenient to reach from 100E bus and has facilities like play area for kids, microwave, drinking water tap. It is maintained well, clean and spacious. This is for terminal 2B.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean. Efficient . A bit crowded and not enough space at the check in area. Free charging stations in the terminals.
Some food vendors press heat sandwiches to make the crust crunch. Many shops in the airport. The people of Budapest were kind and really try to help us, when we only spoke english.. we cannot wait to come back for an extended visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Airport that's in very good condition and easy to navigate.
Very clean and organized airport, everything is up to standard, and you don't have any run-down thing around.
Check-in was easy enough, and everything was shown on screens as soon as you arrived. So you don't really get lost that easily.
Very good connection with the city center. You have a bus that goes directly to it (100E) and ticket machine for it are just outside of the terminal when you arrive.
Security was also fast and was not a problem at around 9 when I was there. Stores and restaurants are plentiful, but as in all airports prices are hicked up a bit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Solid, modern airport that’s not too big but also has a solid amount of amenities. The temperature felt a little warm inside and there are bus gates, which would usually subtract a star for me. But there is one main reason that I didn’t: the superb low cost carrier terminal. Usually these are afterthoughts, but at BUD, I’d argue the low cost terminal is nicer than the main one. There is fancy seating, some nice art, a hydration station, and usb charged sockets under some of the seats, none of which I saw in the main terminal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The airport is under construction outside. Overall the terminal 2 looks like 10 years ago. It has all the important amenities. The waiting area on the arrival side got partially filled with a restaurant and it’s adjacent seating area, which leave the waiting area about tight. But it is good to have a restaurant close by while waiting?.
