About Budapest-Keleti

A kedvezményes menetjegy kiindulási állomása bármely belföldi állomás, célállomása bármely budapesti állomás lehet. A kedvezmény kizárólag belföldi forgalomban, 2. kocsiosztályon vehető igénybe. Ha az utas feláras vonaton vagy 1. kocsiosztályon utazik, az utasnak az adott feláras vonatra érvényes felárat, illetve a teljesárú kocsiosztály-különbözet díját meg kell fizetnie.

A kedvezményes árú menetjegy érvénytartama megegyezik az azonos távolságra érvényes teljesárú menetjegy érvénytartamával, azzal a korlátozással, hogy a kedvezmény a kupont felmutató által meghatározott előadás napját megelőző naptól az előadás napját követő nap éjfélig vehető igénybe. Visszautazás alkalmával a kiadott kedvezményes árú menetjeggyel utazó utasnak fel kell mutatnia a Fővárosi Nagycirkusz információs pultjánál lebélyegzett menetjegyet.

Best Train station in Hungary

Z	Ziga Kuhel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very hard to find the information you are looking for. The worker we asked where the train we had to get on just said to ask someone else. It is also quite dirty. Architecture is beautiful.
S	Stefan Gehring on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Certainly once an impressive place during the time of the Austro-Ungarian Empire. Now 150 years later a place where you do not want to wait for a train. Basically no facilities, dirty and stinking as well. Avoid (of possible).

林	林祖安 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The exterior of the station is quite spectacular. Although the interior looks old, it has slowly begun to be renovated. It is worth mentioning that the staff in the station are very friendly, take the initiative to care about passengers and answer patiently!!!
T	Teodora Chirodea on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It looks awful, it's in a great state of degradation, filthy, lack of information (I had to go all around the train station to be able to find the ticket office), no Info office, and the toilets are closed after 20.00. Only two or three outside kiosks if you want to get something to eat/drink, and a small, lousy and smelly waiting room. One of the most pittyfull railway station a saw in a long time... I hope the authorities will do something about it.

Very basic station but functioning well and efficient. I think that staff and the management needs to be recognised for the effort and hardwork. I think this station have a big impact to all locals and foreigns alike as it connects people from and to their destinations.
C	Carl Riedel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Budapest Keleti station is the main central train station in Hungary. From here you can connect to all other parts of Europe by train. The building is old traditional Hungarian architecture. At the time of this writing the building is undergoing maintenance. There is a huge square in front of the building and it is surrounded by many shops and fast food restaurants.
C	Chris Clement on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large, airy, well-maintained classical European train station. Easy to navigate. I saw only one line, for the domestic ticket office. There are a couple of very simple restaurants and food kiosks inside. A first-class lounge for international travellers is available, and was pleasant and uncrowded on my day of travel. It was a pleasant place to sit to enjoy a complementary cappuccino and juice (small snacks were also available) but air conditioning would have been welcome! Four stars only because of the limited variety of services compared to many large European stations, and lack of A/C in the lounge.
